We have taken the full day at Pinnacles, passing through Yanchep (koalas & kakatoos), Lancelin (sand dunes!) up to Cervantes for lunch. Our guide has been Kea, a very cheerful and educated young person who also added of his own to make our day memorable. To begin is we were in Australia at Perth since 8 days and zero kanguroos (well hundreds of Quakka in Rotto but..). After some introduction to Perth and on hurban landscape, he suggested to to stop at Pinnaroo Valley Memorial park if we really want to see kanguroos. Barbara and I were enthusiastic of this offer and accepted happily. We saw a number of reds there, even at a close range. At the end, those were the ONLY kanguroos we saw in Australia (none in Yanchep..). This was not the only unplanned 'pearls' of that long day. Once we were in Cervantes (strange Spanish name, but got from a wrecked ship a while ago). Whlel driving we saw a sign reporting 'stromatolites'. Well, only Aussies indulge in calling attention on those weird things. I am a geologist (marine, just back from the Great Australian Deep-Sea Coral and Canyon Adventure, check it on the web) and paleontologist and got attracted by having one of the few living examples of some of the earliest form of Life on Earth. Asked with little hope Kea if would have been possible to stop there for a few minutes, being basically along our planned route. Kea graduated in marine biology and took class in marine geology too After consulting also with other 4 guests, WE DID IT! All of us were very happy for this unplanned stop. The resto of the day as planned, getting lot of time to see the Pinnacles, without any pressure from the guide who was on the contray enthusiastic and insoired as it were the first time for him too. The Pinnancles are a lot better than I expected, in terms od the vastity of the land characterized by these magnificent formations. This day was the most Austrlaian day of our entire trip. Surely memorable and worth of. Highly recommended! Marco & Barbara
My family had tour to Pinnacles and lancelin Desert on last weekend, but Aussie Perth Tours never inform to me to delay the pick up time, our family with my son and daughter were only staying in outside (too cold). Really terrible to think that time. And Aussie Perth Tours has sent the request payment to me, and then I transferred payment to bank but they didn't inform to me any confirmation notice.(I tried to contact them to have confirmation, but they never reply to me) In the result, they forget the pick up time, we had terrible experience in the Perth.
We were very disappointed with this tour. The Pinnacles and Yanchep National Park were great to see and the lobster lunch delicious but our enjoyment of seeing these sights was overshadowed by the huge lack of professionalism. The standard of presentation and commentary for this tour was way below par. Firstly, the mini bus arrived to pick up my friend and I and the driver, Brendan, greeted us looking very dishevelled. Unshaven, crushed clothing, buttons undone and the mini bus was very dirty inside. It was a very hot day and the air conditioning in the bus was initially not even turned on and once we mentioned it to Brendan, he turned the vents on but it only made a slight difference to the temperature. There were only four passengers on the tour so it wasn't a full bus but still, the air conditioning did not seem to cope. We set off driving through slight peak hour traffic and it seemed Brendan did not know how to drive a manual vehicle smoothly. Very rough gear changes, accelerating quickly and braking hard, we gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe once we're on the main highway, his driving will improve. However, this was not the case at all. In fact his driving deteriorated to a point where my friend and I were quite frightened. It was a very windy day so the bus was being buffeted by the winds so because of this, the driver should have known to drive to the conditions. But Brendan exceeded the speed limit, tailgated cars trying to overtake and because of the wind, several times went out of the lane and across the grid lines. What was most concerning was his fidgeting - constantly looking in the console for things, taking off his sunglasses and rubbing his eyes, changing his sunglasses to standard glasses and again rubbing his eyes, taking his hands off the wheel - doing all of this in windy conditions and driving at speed. Also his commentary was very basic and knowledge of the sights minimal. For someone who had supposedly been doing this tour for some time, he did not know facts and often began with 'I think' or ended with 'that's my observation'. All in all, we would not recommend Aussie Perth Tours if this is the standard of their drivers and buses. Brendan was very polite and courteous but his driving skills were a concern. We were just pleased to arrive back in Perth safely.
Me and my mate took 2 tours between the 15th & 16th of April, one tour was better than the other, we both took the Pinnacles, Yanchep National Park, Lobster Shack & Lancelin Sandboarding & The Penguin Island & Mandurah Canal Cruise, the first one was disappointing not because of the itinerary, but the tour leader was rushed into being ahead of time and two people in the group not very respectful of the group and always returning late and the leader had to go looking for them every single time, nonetheless Brendan still a very polite nice person to meet apart from the stress he was showing!, I was so looking forward to the sand boarding but my body was not up it to, but the next day when we took the second tour, much more relaxed and no one was rushing anything, I know that the people who go on tours cannot be cherry picked but still I would choose APT again If I visited WA again in future
My friend and I did these two tours with Aussie Perth Tours: "PINNACLES, YANCHEP NATIONAL PARK, LOBSTER SHACK & LANCELIN (OPTIONAL SANDBOARDING)" and "SWAN VALLEY & WILDLIFE PARK TOUR", and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The tour guides, Brendan and Graham, for both days were very friendly and informative. Very convenient pick up locations are available to choose from when we book the tours. Though the mini bus came a little late, the tour guides were responsible and they made sure no one was lost at each stop. Sandboarding was fun. The lobster meal at Lobster Shack was delicious. The wildlife park was amazing, with very tamed animals. We get to pet and feed the kangaroos, which were just sitting around peacefully instead of hopping away. These two tours had been very pleasant. I will recommend my friends to sign up for the tour if they come to Perth for vacation.
I did the 2 weeks tour from Perth to Broom Return and it was a disaster! I wrote an email to the company during the tour after talking on the phone to one of the company's team members that didn't make any effort to help me and my friends on the tour. The tour was dissapoiting, it didn't amout at all to the tours value of money! Most of the tours itinirary was inaccurately informed prior to coming on the tour on the website or on the email from the company, that did not aline with my expectations. For example: 1. There were no sleeping bags we could hire from the company. We were told by the guide that we don't even need them when sleeping in swags. 2. In the itinirary it says we will have the option to sleep in tents but they weren't even offered to us. 3. The snorkeling gear that was offered to us was with extra cost. 4. There were activities that were apart of the itinirary that weren't included on the tour as promised. Such as sand bourding and kanyoning. 5. There was only a night in monkey mia. We arrived late at night and left at 9am. There was not enough time to explore the area. There was no option to go on a sea kayak tour with additional cost. There was no "multi award wining aboriginal cultural tour". 6. There was not a fully guided tour in Cape Range National Park. We only saw the light house and had time at the beaches. 7. The itinirary said the the passengers must be fit in order to be able to go on this active tour, but most of the time was spent on the bus. It was said on your website that there are hikes over 4 km. We only hiked one day at Kalbarri National Park about 5km. 8. There were no activities presented by the company that were not additional cost. Only to take photos at some stops along the way, otherwise we had freetime. In addition, the food was not healthy and there wasn't a big variety from meal to meal, most dinners included hamburgers and pizzas. There was a dinner that included only nachos with sauses. On top of it, when there was bad weather and we weren't able to do the planned activity there was no alternative option. For example: 1. On the first day there was a big rain storm. When I asked the tour guide what will we do instead of going to the pinnacles desert if it continues, he answered that we will see when we get there. Fortunately for him the rain stopped for a few minutes to see it. 2. There was a cyclone when we were heading to the Karijini National Park. Although the tour guide was aware that it was coming and the visitor centre in Tom Price informed him that all the gorges are closed due to flushfloods we still went there. We were at the park but couldn't see anything. There was nothing offered from the company inplace. I understand they can't control the weather but there was no plan B even though the tour guide knew the weather forecast in advance. They could have had another activity planned like driving us for a day at Cape Levequ or some activity in Broome that the company provided other than have more freetime. The tour guides were deffinitely NOT "passionate about providing the ultimate costumer experience", as it says in the description of the tour. We were not told of the day's schedule everyday or the day before so we can pack the right clothing and equipment for the day. They only informed us once we asked. Same thing with the times. They gave us incorrect information or didn't have any information. The hike in Broome from Cabel beach to the dinasaur footprint was 7km one way and the tour guide informed us it is 3km one way. They did not react quickly enough when there were injuries. They weren't even around at the time of the injury. The first aid kit was always on the bus and could not be helpful when there was an actual injury. I was the one who took care of 2 injured girls. Fortunately to them I had first aid training, otherwise those girls would have been hurt much more. People on this tour, including myself, came from all around the world especially to Australia to see the west coast and do this tour just to be disapointed. I did not get my money's worth from this tour and it is extremely NOT reccommended!!!
