Since its establishment in 1971, Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery (MPRG) has grown to become one of Australia’s leading regional galleries, renowned for its exhibition program of Australian art. The Gallery conducts lectures, artist talks and workshops and has a pre-schooler program, school holiday workshops and free hands-on activities for kids. Free guided tours most Saturdays and Sundays at 3pm, family activity spaces with free hands-on activities, gallery gift shop, parkland for picnics, nearby playground and rose garden. The Gallery is the region’s major cultural facility and is supported by Mornington Peninsula Shire and other partners. From 6 March – 26 April see A Collection of Stranger Things. Artist Patrick Pound has drawn out works from the MPRG Collection and displayed them alongside his own collection of photographs and objects. With a Little Help from our Friends showcases 30 works acquired by the Friends of MPRG since 1996, and local artist Sophie Perez's exhibition The landscape in-between features the changing seasons of the Mornington Peninsula.
