El Dorado Pottery is situated in the Eldorado and Woolshed Valley Region of the Rural City of Wangaratta and is a part of the High Country Tourist Region. The mud brick pottery studio was built in 1975 and has been a working business up until 2013. It is now a hobby for the third generation potter Howard Phillips but it still manages to keep him quite busy. Howard produces a colourful variety of wares ranging from household items to decorative ware. On a visit to the studio you might see him in action throwing, glazing or firing; or you might enjoy a chat with him about his family background in pottery while checking out the work areas.
