Itinerary

Spend a fun-filled day exploring Penguin and Seal Islands by sea kayak. Get up close and personal with amazing wildlife including little penguins and Australian sea lions, take a guided walk to explore Penguin Island, and enjoy snorkelling amongst the sheltered in-shore reefs (December to March only, when the water is warmest).

Paddling a sea kayak is a unique and intimate way to explore Penguin & Seal Islands.
Get up close and personal with the sea lions, cruise past colonies of pelicans and take in the rugged beauty of the islands. Meet the little penguins in the Penguin Island discovery centre. In between activities, enjoy morning tea and lunch, freshly prepared by your guide, in the beautiful Penguin Island picnic area.

Tours are led by a qualified instructor who will take you on a guided walk and snorkelling (in the warmer summer months, December to March) amongst the shallow reefs close to Penguin Island. It’s a fun-filled day suitable for beginner and advanced paddlers.

    Great guide (knowledgeable and overall provides a relaxing atmosphere), SO much wildlife to see and enjoy, beautiful water, awesomely fresh food -- honestly don't have any complaints. Highly recommend!

    My partner and I went out with Jimmy and his assistant today. The weather was perfect, unfortunately the other group couldn’t make it, so it meant that we had a one on one experience. I hadn’t been kayaking for ages so was worried I would of been nervous but Jimmy and Merrel were so brilliant, explaining everything thoroughly We paddled out to the seal lions that were playing in the water swimming under our kayaks. You could almost pat them. Then we paddled to penguin island, we had morning tea, went for a tour of the island. Watched the penguin feeding then Jimmy had set out our lunch to enjoy in the sun and shade on the island. We then went up to the lookout and then paddled back. It was so much fun! Well worth it and both Jimmy and Merrel are so knowledgeable, friendly and just a pleasure to spend the day with on such an awesome experience I encourage anyone who wants a fun filled day of adventure to jump on their tour as it was worth every cent. Thank you for the great experience

    We're a little late with our review, but we couldn't recommend this experience more highly. This tour was an incredible experience! We saw sea lions, learned a lot about the local environment, and the guide even dropped us to the nearest train station afterwards. We strongly recommend you take this tour if you can! Z&A.

    Fab experience, it was a perfect day on the water, the sea lions were such a treat. It was a full day, with the kayaking, swimming, walk around the island and penguin feeding session. Must mention the effort Jimmy put into taking care of us all. The morning tea and lunch was great, I was especially pleased. I am a vegan and I had plenty to eat! I would recommend this tour to anyone young or old. Thanks Jimmy, it was a pleasure to have you lead the tour.

    we were really lucky and had sea lions playing around us in the kayaks! awesome! walking around penguin island was interesting too. the picnic lunch was really good

    A fantastic day - beautiful snorkeling, kayaking with dolphins (!) and a great way to see an amazing part of WA. We loved it!

    My partner and I loved this trip so much!! I'm so impressed with the price- 6hrs, afternoon tea, lunch. Fee onto penguin Island, kayaking and a great tour guide. We were even blessed to have witnessed sea lions frolicking in the waters. Although we're adventurous we would never have done something like this by ourselves and are so grateful for the experience. Thank you to our hilarious guides who had so much patience and made an effort to have a chat to each of us. I really appreciate your conversations and relaxed nature whilst navigating the waters with us. Forever grateful, Luke and TJ xx

    Price exceeds value of service offered For $190 I would expect: —to be greeted and receive acknowledgment that despite booking through an entirely different service that I was in the right place —the guide to be clear and upfront about the days agenda (especially when directly questioned about it) so customers can get the most out of their experience —to arrive at the required time and to commence the days activities (briefing, gearing up, etc) within 30min of arrival. Noting that the booking confirmation asks customers to "Please arrive early." —the guide to provide more information about the area than what is contained on the information signs —customers not made to feel like they were financing an outing for the guides friends & family —customers not being expected to participate in maintaining the equipment (requested to wash down kayaks and load up an end of trip) It is my hope this feedback goes to improving the service offering so it warrants that price point NB: this feedback has also been provided on the booking agencies Tripadvisor page

    The kayak trip out to Sea Lion Island, on to Penguin Island and back again! Led by the most excellent, skilled and informative guides and lovely pace and views all the way. Really enjoyable, not too strenuous and out in the open air and sunshine.
