I did this tour on Friday morning, October 22, with Garry & I can assure you that I certainly did not come away disappointed. As a World War 2 history junkie - who has visited EL ALAMEIN, MONTE CASSINO, CRETE, ARNHEM, NORMANDY & SAINT PETERSBURG AKA LENINGRAD & OTHERS - I was totally blown away by Garry's incredibly detailed & comprehensive knowledge of so many sundry events & personalities. In addition, Garry, himself is a very down-to-earth guy who has the ability to relate to all types of individuals but at the same time do it with quite a bit of both humour & wit. Finally, what I also very much appreciated about the trip was that nothing was rushed & the general approach was to adopt a fairly relaxed manner which gave participants to ask as many questions that they wanted to ask. All in all, I would advise anyone going to Darwin to definitely do this tour as a priority. Greg Maynes (Melbourne).

This is the most incredible tour loved it. Gary is so informative and funny we killed ourselves laughing all the way. The Aviation centre was so interesting and all the sights along the way. I highly recommend it.

Garry is a fabulous host who provides personalised bombing commentary. His knowledge is handed down by veterans over the years and researched thoroughly. Found out what the Japanese were really up to but won't tell you here. The bombing of Darwin is far bigger than most would like to admit. Did the submarine nets really prevent the big submarines from entering the harbour or did the mini-subs succeed one month earlier? Learn untold pre bombing and post bombing history. Ask Garry about the Japanese banknotes made for use in Australia. So much covered. Loved the book you published about the real Darwin bombing. Fabulous, loved it. Steve and Debbie Wotherspoon - October 2021

Garry offers a wonderful tour that educates you on the history of not only Darwin but also Australia. His knowledge is in depth and his story telling brings what occurred to life and makes you realise the siginifcance of the region and how many young heros played a part or made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our way of life. Garry's tour while informative is also thoroughly entertaining and many laughes are had along the way. To really learn the truth of our part in the war you should make the time to go on this tour - it would be wonderful if what we learnt today was tought in schools.

This morning I went on the Bombing of Darwin WWII Tour with Garry Gallagher who is both very knowledgable and quite the Aussie larrikan, loves a joke. A very educational tour that went for 4 hours, a definite for anyone coming up here. What a great group of people(10 in total) on my tour. I have always questioned why we are taught history relating to overseas, but not our own Australian history! Most people would not be aware that Darwin was bombed more than Pearl Harbour! Do yourself a favour and come and learn about this and so much more from Garry. There are so many tours up here, and i have been lucky to experience a few, this would have to be my favourite as I learnt so much more than i had on others. Thanks Garry for a great morning, i'm looking forward to doing this again with my husband.
